Club Night

Our club night is run every Wednesday throughout the year, with the only exceptions being when Christmas Day or Boxing Day happens to fall on a Wednesday. This long-standing tradition has been a cornerstone of our club's social calendar for many years.

Starting promptly at 7 pm, club night is the perfect opportunity for all our members to gather together, share stories from the week, enjoy hearty laughter, and, naturally, engage in friendly games of Pétanque. The atmosphere is always welcoming and relaxed.

We're particularly proud of our diverse membership, which includes many social members who, whilst not participating in league competitions, thoroughly enjoy coming down to the club for the wonderful sense of community and camaraderie that club night offers.

We're always keen to welcome new members and players to our friendly community. You can rest assured that you'll receive a warm reception, with numerous experienced members readily available to guide you through the basics and nuances of playing Pétanque.

To make getting started as easy as possible, we provide all the necessary equipment for newcomers. We offer a fantastic trial period where you can attend club night three times before making any commitment to formal membership, giving you plenty of time to get a feel for the sport and our community.

It's consistently a brilliant evening of sport and socialising, often rounded off perfectly with a convivial drink and chat at the Cottage afterward. Many lasting friendships have been formed over these post-game gatherings.
